It’s time to flush your stereotypes down the drain.
Congratulations, gamer girls—you’re officially at the top of the food chain when it comes to games. A new study released by the Entertainment Software Association has revealed that adult women now occupy the largest demographic in the gaming industry. Women over 18 made up a whopping 36 percent of the gaming population, followed by adult men at 35 percent.
I’ve never heard that before, I think I’ve only seen “Women’s Studies” or “Women’s and Gender Studies,” I wonder if the programs are actually all that different?
Hm maybe it’s not as prevalent as I thought then :|a As far as I’m aware, I don’t think there’s much, if any, difference in curriculum, it’s just that some institutions opted to change the name to be more inclusive.
Ooooh okay. In my university, we just call it Women & Gender Studies. :P
Yeah I think at my last college that’s what it was called too now that I think about it :|a But I think WGSS is a bit more common?
PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS
What’s WGSS? :’D
Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies uwu
In a modern, high-school/university setting, which class would your Warden/Hawke excel in?
Aiden being the MEGA SHIT he is is generally pretty good at most things, but he would probably get most into economics I think :|a
Arya would totally hate school in general, but she’d love P.E.
Keelyn would probably be into psychology because she’s really interested in why people act the way they do, or possibly art.
Aliena would love anything Literature and/or WGSS related.
Peter would be into Biology and Botany because he’s a super plant nerd.
oh oh are you still doing the oc question thing?? what were sophia and maddie's lives like on the colonies before the attacks? like good parent relationships, lots of friends or no, stuff like that?
Ah yay, I don’t usually get a lot of questions about my Shepards!!
Sophia was a pretty good girl and in fact probably about as average as could be. She got good grades in school, didn’t get into any huge trouble, didn’t excessively stand out but she had a good group of friends and was generally well-liked. But she was definitely super close with her family. Her parents and her twin brother and little sister were her whole world, so losing them really messed her up for a really long time.
Maddie had an interesting relationship with her family. She had two older brothers who were always picking on her and her parents were always trying to be overly protective, so they all kind of got under eachothers’ skin a lot and fights were pretty frequent, but at the end of the day she loved them. As far as school life went, she pretty much had two modes: studious ace student or wild child. Maddie is naturally very intelligent and she excels at grasping difficult concepts and applying them, but only if she wants to. If things were going well at home and in her personal life, she would gladly put in the effort to be a model student, however she’s very easily caught up in emotions and when she felt aggravated or pressured (especially by her parents), she would try to resist that by going out and acting spontaneously, which as you can imagine did get her into trouble, but she was pretty popular at school for that reason.
Who's your favorite Warden? Or at least the one whose story you'd be most interested in telling right out the gate, and why.
Who’s my favorite Warden origin or who’s my personal favorite Warden out of my OCs?
My favorite origin honestly is probably Brosca (especially female Brosca) because damn. Talk about an underdog story. I mean, to start out as a complete nothing and nobody in this secluded dwarven society and not only come to save the whole country and be lauded as a hero, but also become a Paragon? That’s just awesome.
And my personal favorite Warden, and in fact overall OC of mine is Aiden Surana lmao I’m not even sure how this happened. Usually I’ll start an RPG with at least a general blueprint of the character I want to make and then sort of go with it and flesh it out from there, but I started Aiden with literally nothing in mind and somehow he ended up being my most successful OC. There’s a certain point in developing a character where you stop feeling like you’re writing them and it becomes more like they’re writing themselves, but with Aiden I felt like we totally skipped step one and he was always the one in charge from the very beginning. So because of that I’m just always really excited to talk about him lol.
Is Aliena a purple, blue, or red Hawke?
Ali is mostly blue, but often purple when talking one-on-one with people she feels comfortable around, and red when talking seriously about issues she’s passionate about (so mage rights, basically).
